As part of
Lantern Festival 2013,
Chen Dance Center will present a series of performances in tribute to the late dancer, author, choreographer and illustrator
Remy Charlip. The program includes performances of Charlip's
39 Chinese Attitudes --one of his celebrated "airmail dances"--and
Twelve Contra Dances, a suite set to Beethoven and staged by
Lance Westergard. Charlip's
Ten Imaginary Dances will be performed by
David G. Vaughan.
H.T. Chen's
Between Heaven and Earth concludes the program.
Thursday through Saturday, February 28, March 1 and March 2 at 7:30pm (with a reception, with refreshments, at 7 PM)
