Dance Magazine invites feedback

Dance Magazine invites you to Talk Back to Critics: Join the Dialogue. Send in your feedback on Dance Magazine's dance reviews.

It seems a bit clunky--making you send an email rather than use a more convenient Comments system right on the page--but at least it's something.

Click here to read some current and archived Dance Magazine reviews and get started.

Day Two: If you see something, say something!

Every day for the next several days, I will post a note highlighting one simple way in which you can show InfiniteBody blog some love!

Day Two: If you see something, say something!

When I launched InfiniteBody back in March 2007, I could not have imagined accepting comments. I was used to various Internet discussion groups with their flashpoints and flame wars and had found myself in the middle of a number of them. I noticed that blogs that were open to public comment sometimes drew their unfair share of weirdos and haters. Not for me.

After a long time, I changed my mind and added a moderated Comments feature to InfiniteBody (as well as to my other blogs--hummingwitch and starlight-sensitive).

Although I sometimes get strange messages, which are easily rejected, for the most part, I get few comments of any kind. I'd like that to change!

So, if you see something, say something!

If you've seen a show that I've reviewed, drop a note with your own take on it.
Post an announcement about a similar upcoming event of interest to InfiniteBody readers. Start a (respectful) discussion about any issues appropriate to this space. Or just say Hi! and introduce yourself as a reader of this blog. I know who some of you are, but I don't know all of you.

Go ahead and post a comment, even about old blog posts! It will be great to hear from you anytime!

To Post A Comment on InfiniteBody

Just look for that purple rectangular box at the bottom of each post, then click on the 0 comments link. (Note: When you are viewing a single blog post, you'll find the Comments invitation link under the purple box, not in it.)

You'll be taken to the Leave your comment page where you can write what you like, sign in with the identity of your choice, set up email tracking of comments, preview your comment and, finally, post it.

As noted before, all comments are moderated. So there will be a bit of lag time before it appears on the site.

Thanks in advance for your participation!

Day One: Sharing is caring!

Show your love and have your say!

If you enjoy InfiniteBody blog and Body and Soul podcast, here are some ways in which you can show your love:

  • Write a comment: Just click on the "0 comments" link at the bottom of the post you've read, and you'll be taken to a page where you can leave your thoughts. Comments are moderated and must be approved before they are posted.
  • Subscribe to InfiniteBody: The cute orange button near the top of InfiniteBody blog will take you to a page where you can subscribe to the blog through your favorite newsreader. Subscriptions are free, and you'll receive new blog posts as soon as they are posted. You'll be able to receive either headlines or the full text, as you wish. Or you can try the equally-adorable green button. That one will take you to ZapTXT, where you can sign up and get new-post notifications via IM, email or text message.
  • Subscribe to Body and Soul: If you're already subscribed to InfiniteBody, you'll always know when there's another Body and Soul podcast interview on the way or posted on the blog. But you might want to subscribe to and download Body and Soul episodes via iTunes or another service. Just click here.
  • Review Body and Soul on iTunes: Review and chat up Body and Soul podcast on iTunes and wherever podcasts are recommended and reviewed. Much appreciated.
  • Tell your friends: Like something you've read here? Click on the blog heading (e.g., this one's heading is "Show your love and have your say!"). You'll be taken to a dedicated page for that particular entry. Next, highlight and select the specific entry address that appears in your browser's address window. Copy and paste that address into an email to your friends, and add a personal note with your recommendation. Or send them subscription information for InfiniteBody and/or Body and Soul.
  • Sharing is caring: Sharing InfiniteBody and Body and Soul with your social networks is cool, too. Facebook (I love Facebook!), MySpace, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, Digg or what have you. Let your 2,571 closest friends know about what you're enjoying here. Just remember that original material posted here (e.g., reviews, commentary, my own photos) is under my copyright. That means, if you want to reprint or repost anything, ask permission first and, if granted permission, don't neglect to give proper credit, source and copyright information. However, simply posting a link back to the original material, with a note of recommendation, is always, always welcome!
  • Link back from your own Web site or blog (add IB and B&S to your blog roll): 'Nuff said. Just do it. And recommend InfiniteBody and Body and Soul to other folks who have relevant sites and blogs.
For these efforts and for all the generous compliments and pats on the back I've been getting from dance artists, advocates and fans for this blog and for the podcast, I thank you with all my heart!
