An internationally respected teacher and performer, Samara was protégé to the late master dancer/teacher/choreographer Ibrahim Farrah. As principal dancer in Mr. Farrah’s Near East Dance Group, she performed in some of America’s most prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. Samara is Choreographer and Artistic Director for Dance for the critically acclaimed Mosaic Dance Theater Company.
This evening features Ensemble Arabesque, a five-member group of virtuosi of Arabic music, including Maurice Chedid Composer/vocalist (oud), Gamal Shafik (tabla), Ramy Nasser (keyboard), Mohammed Abdullah (violin), and Ahmed Habash (def/rik). Performances by Samara, the Mosaic Dance Theater Company, Alexia (Tennessee), Erika Ochoa (Chicago), Elvia (Japan), Eva (Holland) and many more fabulous dancers from far and wide.Tickets and table reservations
